If 7-11 sells more games this week than gas, many will wonder how? Following in the same tradition as Halo 3, 7-ll gas stations mistakenly overlooked the enormous sticker on the Gears of War 2 boxes stating, DO NOT SELL BEFORE NOVEMBER 7. In the picture is a lucky hardcore gamer that happen to get one of the early copies. There are more pictures of early Gears 2 coups on her site, GameGirl. This is either a sign of negligence on behalf of the employees, or Microsoft is looking the other way while early copies of the game are being sold. This could be another way to create a buzz before the game. What’s cheaper to the publisher; a few copies being leaked to the public, or a million dollar marketing campaign? “I’ll take two copies of Gears of War, a couple of Halo Mountain Dews, and a Grab Bag of Pork-Skins. Thank You”
