So I was playing COD4 last night and decided it was time for some GTA4. Popped in the disc and heard a banshee-like sound that made the dogs of the neighborhood shreek in howling pain. I quickly ejected the disc and looked at it. Disc was fine so I put it back in and watched the disc tray shut and then it opened back up. Nothing unusual as I adopted this usual quirk with my 360 so I rinsed and repeated. But after this happened for the 50th time I realized the pipe bags were getting louder. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I will now have to call ‘MAX’ and get redirected to some guy in Pakistan. I’ll make the call during my lunch break today which has become old hat to me by now. For you see, this will be my THIRD time doing this. I will probably be sent a FOURTH 360 that will probably last all of six months like the previous 3. Funny thing is, I’ve yet to get the RED RINGS OF DEATH.
- First 360: Would not read discs.
- Second 360: E74 error screen.
- Current 360: Disk tray will not stay shut.
- Future 360s: To be determined.
So until my coffin arrives, it’s arcade games and demos for me. So for the next month, What I’ve been playing? NOTHING. Who would you like to evict? MICROSOFT.
You’d think as often as I’ve had this happen to me that I wouldn’t be pissed but it seems I get more pissed with every awesome 360 Hardware issue.
@JD I actually got my crate today to send my Xbox back for the second time. While they did offer me a game or an accessory when I complained about having to send back my Xbox twice (in addition to a controller and a headset back), I refused and demanded that as a customer service courtesy, I receive an HDMI enabled box back. So while I’m not expecting a new box, I’ll at least get an upgrade to ‘newer’ refurbished equipment. Sorry to hear about the loss Tee
