October 17th Sarcastic Gamer is spearheading a gaming marathon event (Extra Life ). For 24 hours straight they along with many other gaming communities including GHR will being playing games to raise money for the Texas Children's Hospital. Taken from their site:

You have a great opportunity to be a part in this awesome event. How? There are a couple of options:

1. Join the GHR team in raising support and then staying up all day and night gaming to raise the money. Join by clicking on any team member's donation page and there is a link there to join the team.

2. If you can't participate that way then you could donate to one the members on the team. Donate to any team member by clicking on their name below to be directed to their donation page and then click the Donate now button.

3. Join us online on the 17th and chat at us to help us stay awake.

That I'm not sure. If not I'll still be gaming for 24 lonely hours. I'm gonna hit up my workplace this week for donations and I'll try to work on a donation letter for the forums for people to copy and paste.

i been trying to talk bodabo into american idol kr 1 and..uhg...babygirl so we can do an idol tourney during the marathon maybe get some achievements too. cuz you can do like 8 online so if you get back and then bo and bg. and see if mrs lefty has it yet thats like 5 or so that can participate in it

So are you guys starting at midnight the 17th, Friday night late, or Saturday night late?

Friday night late...to keep confusion at a minimum, I'm hitting it at 11:59PM Friday night. I may try to rent ODST (if they have any copies in).

Also, does anyone have any of the 48hr XBL trial code that I may have? My gold account ends on the 17th...great timing. I would just re-subscribe but not sure when I'll be on the net again so 48 hr trial would be better. Thanks.
