After a few weeks of patient waiting, THQ announced today that the code included in new retail copies of Darksiders will allow you to get a free ($5 shipping) copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla! Awesome news, and even more reason to go out and buy Darksiders. Both are great games. Check out my review of Darksiders if you’re curious.

Thanks for the heads-up! I picked this up on Saturday. I was always semi-interested in Darksiders, being a huge Joe Madureira fan and enjoying my time with the game at PAX last year. The decent reviews peaked my interest, but not enough for a purchase. But Red Faction: Guerrilla for free? SOLD!
I “almost” bought Red Faction about 5 times last year. Everytime I would go to Best Buy, I would have it in my hand and decide to put it down. I couldn’t pass this up.
Btw, about 5 hours into Darksiders I am totally loving the game!!
No problem, tanis. Like I said, both are great games. I’m a huge fan of darksiders. I was really happy when THQ announced in their earnings conference call that there will be a sequel. I think they said 2012 though. Hopefully they make it worth the wait!!
Yeah, I’m only 1/2 way through this one and I’m already glad a sequel was announced. I also noticed the 2012 release date and that surprised me. Nowadays, it is not uncommon to get a follow-up just one year later with minor improvements. I’m kinda glad they’re taking their time with it.
FYI, I sent an email to THQ asking when I should excpect the game, their response was what I sxpected – “we dont know”. It SHOULD be shipped within 4 weeks, lol.
