Activision to Sony fans: We still love you but no beta for you

This is the day of the beta. The beta is more important than a demo, because of the importance of the multiplayer aspect of the game. Call of Duty: World at War will have a multiplayer beta, similar to what Call of Duty 4 had. But, it will not be on the PS3, it will only be on the 360 and PC. An Activision representative stated that this selection is due to XBox 360′s ” increased server and connectivity data.”(N4G)

Are we living in a day and age when we fall over ourselves to beta test games for publishers…for free?

  3. TeeTocks says:

@ wyoming, unfortunately yes. Not me personally, I could care less but for this impatient gaming community….yes.

I agree with you Tristan. I was part of that impatient community last year in the COD4 beta. It rocked. But, we are impatient gamers these days.

Dude! Free gaming! COD4 beta was awesome! Now I have to go pre-order to make sure I get into this one.

Yeah, I participated in the CoD4 Beta and it was fantastic. I was never much of a competitive multiplayer gamer (co-op was my thing) but CoD4 won me over. Alot of polish in that game.

Can’t say that I am as excited about this one though, since it is not being developed by Infinity Ward.
