Happy Father’s Day

June 15th, 2008
By: TeeTocks

Many times as a Father, I worry about my kids. Will they know how much I love and care for them, will they always have respect for me even though I will never be the perfect Dad, will they forgive me when I say stupid things to them, etc. Thinking about my Dad today, it brings me back to how he involved himself in my life. Taking time to play catch with me in the backyard, going to Cardinal games and cheering together for our team, and though he never has been a gamer…

MGS4 Deal of the Decade (Seriously)

June 12th, 2008
By: Bumblb19

Wal-Mart is running a special this week (similar to last week) where you get a $100 gift card with the purchase of any Blu-Ray player. This includes PS3′s. Maverick already posted about the $100 gift card last week but it expired before MGS4 came out. With this current deal, you could pick up the MGS4 bundle for $399 if you have other things to spend the gift card on (like more PS3 accessories). That’s one heck of a deal if you ask me. You get an 80GB system, PAIN downloadable game, and MGS4 for the same price as a regular 40GB system. So hurry to your local Wal-mart and see if you can snag this deal.

The long awaited sequel in the ‘Ninja Gaiden’ series has finally arrived. And it is action packed. Team Ninja does a great job of bring this title into ‘Next Gen’ with mind blowing landscapes and amazing graphics. So if you are ready for a mission with a lot of action packed combo moves, that will take you from Japan to New York City and beyond, then you have to pick up a copy of Ninja Gaiden 2.

If everyone that listens to our show could post a comment about how they receive our show that would be great. If, for instance, you get our show by going to PodcastAlley.com then just list the website address. This way I know all the different websites I have to check with to make sure they are getting the new feed. If you already see the site you use in the comments, then there is no need to post it again. As for PodcastAlley in particular, I am having trouble getting them to accept our new feed so that site may no longer have our current episodes but I am still working on it. Thanks in advance for all the feedback and help on this one.

XBOX outsells PS3 in month of may, but the Wii is the winner

June 9th, 2008
By: Alfred "GHR Maverick"

As news outlets declare that the Xbox 360 outsells the PS3 in the month of May, it is a hollow victory at best. The Wii continues to dominate the sales charts!

The XBox 360 – 250,000, PS3 – 225,000, Wii – 750,000

And I thought this prize was Large

June 8th, 2008
By: TeeTocks

Normally I would not give away any prizes I win from other podcast contests just cause it does not feel right to do so. But when I won this tshirt last year it was advertised as a Large, unfortunately when it arrived it was apparent to be an Extra Large. I normally wear Mediums or Larges so this shirt has sat tucked away in my tshirt drawer. The tshirt is from the Lost Planet Launch party that happened in Seattle and is signed by one of the Japanese developers of the game. So if you can wear an XL shirt and are interested in receiving it, just send a message to ‘TeeTocks’ through Xbox Live or email us and type ‘LP’. Winner will be based off a drawing and shirt will be shipped ASAP. Just so you know, this shirt has never been worn. Contest will end by Episode 21.

Pic is front of shirt. Click for more to see the back of shirt.

(((Friday Fire))) Summertime: back in the day’

June 7th, 2008
By: Alfred "GHR Maverick"

Summertime, June 2000. Yep, 8 years ago. Seems like a long time ago. It was probably at one of the happiest times of my life. We had just finished our freshman year at Lee Univeristy and we were forging friendships that would last a life time. Summertime has a way of making me eflective. Honestly, the reason that I was inspired to do this post was me driving this morning. I had just left the YMCA after a great workout! I noticed how most people driving had their cars nice and washed, shades on, and just looking happy. I saw this guy in a late 80′s Trans-Am. It was fire engine red and the T-Tops were out. It just brought back a flood of memories of college, and riding around town in Allen’s IROC with the T-Tops out, just chilling and blasting those Sony Xplod’s!! Those were the days. That was the beginning of the GamerHusbands!

Episode Nineteen :: On the Rainslick Precipitating the Longest Show Ever

June 6th, 2008
By: GamerHusbands

In this Episode we cover “drama”. Tomonobu Itagaki abruptly leaving Team Ninja and Tecmo. Also, we reply to some recent reviews that were posted on iTunes. Scott is mourning the loss of his third Xbox, while Allen adds more games to his conquered list. This is the longest Episode ever due to Maverick’s bad editing skills, but one that is good nonetheless. You have just now tuned in to GamerHusbands Radio.
